Information & Privacy Policy
Here you can find information about Cassiopeia Yarns including postage, dyelots, weights and the lovely Privacy Policy. Not all of it is as boring as the Privacy Policy, but some of it is.
If any information you need is not here, please do get in touch.
Colourways
Colourways may be repeated but they will not necessarily stay exactly the same - for this reason all yarn & fibre is offered on a 'one-of-a-kind' basis. Dyelot numbers are always included where yarn has been dyed in separate batches.
Postage
All orders are sent next working day whenever possible, I use Royal Mail & offer free UK delivery on orders above £20. For other orders, I have done my best to get the postage costs as low as possible, but if you think it's not right please contact me and I can check. I offer a First Class upgrade for urgent UK orders.
Welfare
Welfare is incredibly important to me and none of Cassiopeia Yarns' fibre or yarn comes from mulesed sheep.
Weights
I aim to ensure that all weights are accurate to within 5%, and wherever possibly I will try to ensure that items are overweight rather than under.
Dye Process
All combed tops & yarns are hand dyed by Katharine using professional acid dyes. Dyelots are listed, however the dye technique produces unique skeins so we recommend you alternate skeins if using more than one in a single project.
Every effort is made to exhaust dyes fully, however there may be some colour bleeding on first washing. Please be aware of this if you combine the yarn with a lighter colour.
Quality
Please do contact me if you have any issues at all with your order. I'll do my very best to put things right.
I do inspect all items before listing, but if something has slipped through then I will happily replace it.
Local Collection
If you're local and would like to pick your order up from my studio, please enter coupon code COLLECTION in my etsy shop to waive any postage charges and message me to arrange a time to collect..
